NASB Customer Portal, 2020

A mobile-responsive design for North American Savings Bank built from scratch as a .NET application. Development services were performed in-house by the IT Apps team at North American Savings Bank under the direction of VP Dan Morton and VP Lisa Lillard. As Senior BA I acted as the team's Product Owner, with Chief Marketing Officer Jessica Gardner as our primary stakeholder. The team had a number of Scrum Masters over the years, but notable was Head SM Jerry Cassidy who often filled in as needed.

The Portal acted as a single point of authentication for customers between NASB's various third-party applications (e.g. loan origination, document signing, online banking, etc).

In January 2023 NASB shuttered their entire consumer direct loan operation. We retired and archived the NASB Customer Portal. Afterwards, remaining loan customers used the Blue Sage Solutions LION app and Blue Sage Consumer Portal directly.

NASB Customer Portal - Invitation Email

Above: NASB Customer Portal – Invitation Email for Document Signing and Account Creation. This was the start of the process. A loan officer would create documents to sign and then invite the borrowers from inside Unify, the loan origination system used during the early days of the Portal. Unifi would hit the Portal’s APIi to register an invite, and then the Portal would take it from there. Signers would be issued an appropriate email to either create an account or to just log in to sign documents.

NASB Customer Portal - Account Creation

Above: NASB Customer Portal – Account Creation. The NASB Customer Portal relied on Okta for user identify. Prior to 2022 NASB allowed usernames other than email addresses. So for the initial eLynx and Roostify SSO offerings the same email could be used with different usernames (i.e. husband, wife, other folks with only one email address).

NASB Customer Portal - MFA
